FIRE SAFETY

Fire safety is critical because mistakes can cost lives. The law sets mandatory requirements for the safety and protection of staff and visitors to the premises. You may also want to protect the building and it's contents in order to safeguard the continuing viability of the business - insurance will be of little help when your customers have found other suppliers and your staff have left to join your competitors.

Ask yourself - if you had a major fire, would everyone get out safely and would the business survive the next 12 months?

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order came into force on 1st October 2006. This new legislation replaced most of the existing regulations including the requirement to have a fire certificate and it requires a radically different approach to fire safety management, including the requirement to nominate a named person to be the "responsible person" for fire safety.

The Order imposes a series of duties on this "responsible person" and we can help you comply with them. We are established fire safety advisors with a wide experience of fire risks and an in-depth knowledge of fire safety systems.

Let us provide you with a professional fire risk assessment that will comply with the Fire Safety Order and also identify measures to protect your business from a total fire loss.

Fifth Avenue produced a full fire risk assessment for the Broadway, initially before the building opened in 2004 and then reviewed once the organization was fully operational. They produced a comprehensive risk assessment document, including detailed recommendations for our use, and offered practical advice and assistance. They also produced a risk register to enable us to monitor and record our management of fire risks. We were extremely satisfied with the service provided and would have no hesitation in using their service again or in recommending to other clients.
